Document Scanning
As the first step in the discovery and presentation process, the capturing of document images is of great importance. Crisp, clean images are necessary not only for client review, but for all of the follow-on processes including coding and indexing, optical character recognition, and blowbacks. Our imaging staff has over 25 years of experience utilizing state of the art hardware and software, allowing us to offer the highest quality imaging results.
WWD has an available scanning capacity of hundreds of thousands of pages per day, utilizing a combination of high speed color and black & white sheet fed scanners for normal pages, flatbed scanners for fragile documents, and large format scanners for oversized materials.
WWD employs virtual rescan technology (VRS), along with standard image enhancement technology (deskew, despeckle, character enhancement, etc.) in order to provide the highest quality images available in today's marketplace. Scanned images can be saved in several formats, including TIFF, PDF, JPEG, and more. Varying image resolutions (DPI) are provided based on customer criteria and further use of the images.
All document preparation is performed by personnel trained to treat all source documents with the highest degree of care, allowing clean reassembly into the original document groups as originally presented so that documents are returned to the customer in the same condition that they are received.
